The average size of German Data Centre facility remains relatively low, at 2,510 square metres of raised floor space - mainly due to the large number of small Carrier Based collocation facilities that are scattered across Germany and lowers the average size. Germany remains one of the largest Data Centre markets in Europe, and is second only to the UK Data Centre market in terms of raised floor space, and is significantly ahead of France & the Netherlands according to a forecast in the TCL survey. German Data Centres also are forecast by TCL to see an increase in average customer power over the 5 year period to the end of 2017.
