Research and Development Trend Forecast of Automotive Valve Market in China, 2014-2018 makes in-depth analysis on China's automotive valve industry in aspects of industry characteristics, market supply & demand structure, competition pattern, development trend and key enterprises.

Automotive valve market can be divided into OE (original equipment) market and aftermarket. According to statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufactures, in 2013, the output and sales of China's automobile have amounted to 22.1168 million sets and 21.9841 million sets respectively, and the vehicle ownership in whole China in this year has reached 137 million sets for every thousand people, creating huge development space for both automotive valve OE market and aftermarket.

Automobile can be classified as passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle. Commercial vehicle mainly adopts diesel engine usually with 12 valves, while passenger vehicle commonly uses gasoline engine, but different emission volume may require different number of valve. According to the statistics provided by China Automotive Industry Yearbook, the average number of valve in one passenger vehicle is 13.02 units, therefore, Huidina Research takes the number of valves in one passenger car as 12 units and based on that presents the flowing calculation:

Take the ratio between automobile and valve as 1:12. According to historical automobile supply volume in China, Huidian Research works out that the supply of automotive valve in 2013 was 265.4016 million units, and the demand of automotive valve in 2013 was 263.809 million units.

The supply and price of the upstream products, such as iron and steel, alloy powder and industrial electricity, have much influence on the cost of valve industry. The cost of the raw materials used in valve products, including special steel, alloy powder, and industrial electricity, account for 60% to 70% of the total cost of valve.

As the requirement of environmental protection become higher and higher and the innovative technology develops, valve enterprises have striven to improve the reliability, energy-saving effect, environmental protective performance of their valve products, and improve the combustion efficiency of air-fuel gas mixture and reduce exhaust gas emission through applying new materials, new technique and new technology, so as to establish a firm foundation for the improvement of the overall performance of automobile. Furthermore, the future trend of valve industry is light weight, as the reduction of the weight can lower the inertial force generated by the motion of valve, and it also can slow down the wear and tear of engine while improving the efficiency of valve system. The approaches for realizing light weight include using new materials, transforming the structural design or technique of valve.
