Project Insight - Power Generation Construction Projects: Asia-Pacific

Published: Feb, 2017 | Pages: 27 | Publisher: Timetric
Industry: Construction | Report Format: Electronic (PDF)

Summary

This report is based on Timetric’s Construction Intelligence Center (CIC) which is currently tracking power generation construction projects in Asia-Pacific, with a total of capacity of 1,103.9 GW. The total value of this construction projects pipeline (which includes projects from the announced to execution stages) stands at US$1.67 trillion. Coal power has the largest share of generating capacity reflecting the region’s dependence on the fuel, compared to the reduction in coal use in Western countries. Coal power projects account for almost 50% of additional generating capacity, with 522.5GW, followed by hydroelectric with 201.1GW and nuclear with 149.3GW.

Synopsis

The report provides detailed market analysis, information and insights based on over 1600 CIC projects in Asia-Pacific for 35 countries. The report provides detailed metrics on the region's power generation construction projects (as tracked by CIC) split by country, type and value. Detailed metrics are also provided for the top 10 countries.

Scope

The report provides analysis based on CIC projects showing total project values for 35 Asia-Pacific countries. Analysis is also provided for value and MW added by country and top European project listings. Top participants for the sector are also shown.

Reasons To Buy

Providing insight into main drivers of activity and forecasts, providing an understanding of key trends, analysis of projects by value and MW generation by sectors and main countries enabling clients to target products and services for each type of project. Analysis of main projects participants by value for the sector enabling clients to target products and services for each type of project. Providing top projects data for the region with location, value, MW capacity, stage and start date.

Key Highlights
